General Description
Location: Ash Shihr Export Terminal is located on the southern coastline of Yemen, approx 230nm East of Aden. General overview: The terminal is operated by Canadian Nexen Petroleum Yemen and consists of 2 SPM's and a small boat harbour. SPM1 is located 14°40.6'N 049°31.3'E SPM2 is located 14°41.4N 049°31.4'E The 12m diameter Single Point Mooring (SPM) Buoys are moored in approx 45m of water. Traffic figures: The terminal is visited by 52 vessels annually. Load line zone: Arabian Sea Seasonal Tropical Area, Tropical Sep 1 to May 31, Summer Jun 1 to Aug 31. Max size: Maximum draught 24.0m, 80,000 to 400,000SDWT. Loading is restricted to 265,000t, part cargo loaded for vessels between the size of 300,000DWT and 400,000DWT.
