General Description
Location: Sochi is located on the E shore of the Black Sea, between Sukhumi and Tuapse.
General overview: The port is comprised of 15 berths protected by 2 moles. Sochi handles a variety of cargoes and also offers facilities for Ro-Ro vessels and passenger vessels. The port is closed to oil tankers. Port Authority control also includes port passenger stations of Loo, Khosta, Kurgorodok and Adler.
Traffic figures: Approximately 50 vessels visit the port annually.
Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Passenger vessels: LOA 220m, draught 8.5m.
Cargo vessels: LOA 135m, draught 6.0m. Ferries & Ro-Ro vessels: LOA 100m, beam 20m, draught 6.5m.
Vessels with greater dimensions than above may be granted entry with special permission from the Harbour Master.
