General Description
Location: The Port of Kuching is located in the east region of the state of Sarawak.
General overview: The Port of Kuching is strategically located close to industrial estates, making it convenient for cargo transportation.
The port has four terminals:
- Pending Terminal: (6 Berths / depending on vessel's LOA)
- Biawak Oil Jetties: The jetties are exclusively for tankers carrying petroleum products. (Accommodates vessels up to 5,000 DWT)
- Senari Terminal: (4 Berths)
The port provides facilities for tankers, Ro-Ro, general cargo, and container vessels. Its primary exports are rubber, timber, sago, and rattan, while its major imports include manufactured goods, machinery, and motor vehicles.
