General Description
Location: Boryeong is situated in S of Chungcheong Province at the coast of the Yellow Sea. It lies 45 km N from Kusan and 120 km S from Incheon.
General overview: Boryeong is a subport of Daesan. Originally, the port was developed as a small harbour for fishing industry and Ro-Ro craft. In the last years two large power plants have been constructed and an LNG import terminal has been developed. Boryeong LNG Terminal Co. Ltd. operates liquefied natural gas terminal.
The port is medium sized port. Main vessels handled are bulk carriers, fishing craft, LNG tankers and oil tankers. The port also has a ferry connection to Daecheon Port and small islands in the nearest area.
