Location: The island of Ischia is off the W coast of Italy, close to Naples.
General overview: Ischia is the main port of Ischia Island which is the largest of all the islands in the Bay of Naples. The characteristic funnel-shaped passage allows entry to the large and safe port of Ischia. The port handles general cargo, fish, wine and passenger ferries. Ischia's main port is connected all year round with Napes (Napoli) and Pozzuoli via regular ferries and hydrofoils that run daily. During the tourist season from the beginning of May through September, there are also direct ferry links with Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi, and Salerno.
