General Description
Location: Jambi, also known as Talang Duku, is situated approx 90nm from the bar at the entrance to the Batang Hari River in Eastern Sumatera. Muara Sabak, a sub port and proposed international jetty, is located 12nm from the entrance of the river. General overview: Jambi port is used by small seagoing vessels, coasters and small river craft. The main exports are plywood, sawn timber, rubber and palm oil.
