General overview: The port of Kragerø is a well-sheltered harbour that accommodates general cargoes and mainly serves as a passenger port. The port is open year-round and has a capacity of up to 26,000 DWT (in ballast). Additionally, A/S Vafoss Bruk, a local woodpulp shipper with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons, has its own loading berth. The main exports from the port include wood pulp, timber, macadam, quartz, feldspar, and fish, while the main imports are oil, fodder, and fertilisers.
