General Description
Location: The port of Kralendijk is located in an open bay on the S part of the W coast of Bonaire, about 50nm N of Venezuela and 30nm E of Curacao. General overview: Kralendijk is the principle port for the island of Bonaire with piers for general cargo, containers and cruise vessels. Vessels should sail S of Klein Bonaire Island where there is ample depth close to the berths. Traffic figures: Approx 23,000t of general cargo, 2,800TEU and 17,400 cruise passengers are handled annually Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: North Pier: LOA 224m, 50,000DWT. South Pier: LOA 320m, 100,000DWT. Ro-Ro Pier: LOA 100m, max draught 5.1m and 5,000GT. Largest vessel handled: "Queen Elizabeth 2".
