The shipping platform

Location: Pargas (Parainen) is located on the SW coast of Finland. General overview: Pargas is a private industry harbour handling mainly goods in bulk and also palletised goods and material in big bags. Only material and products of the Partek Corporation are processed. There is a Cement Quay (100m Length) with an electric belt conveyor, operated by Finnsementti (Cement Manufacturer). The general quay is situated on a 800m length with depth of 5 - 7.5 m The port has a Multi-Purpose Crane (150t to 350t) Traffic figures: Approx. 450 vessels with a total of 1,000,000t visit the port annually. Load line zone: - Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length - Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length - Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31 - Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.
