General Description
Location: Rota is situated on the N side of Bahia de Cadiz. Rota Naval Base is situated 1.5nm E of the town.
General overview: Principally a Naval base. The minimum water depth in the port is 11.2 m, the length of the quay is 304.8 m, the width is 99.4 m, and the water depth in the front is 12.2 m. The finger jetty is 350.5 m long, 45.7 m wide and 12.2 m deep. The fuel jetty is 487.7 m long. The front water depth of Berth 1 is 9.45 m, and that of berth 2 is 11.9 m. There are sewage facilities on the fuel terminal, which can also be used for container loading and unloading. Oil tankers with draught of more than 9.75 meters can enter the harbor at high tide.
