Location: Banjarmasin is situated on the S coast of Borneo, approx 16nm from the Barito River. General overview: Banjarmasin is one of the oldest trading posts in Kalimantan. The port consists of 4 terminals: Trisakti, Martapura Baru, Martapura Lama and Pertamina Oil Terminal. Taboneo anchorage is used to load coal from lighters using floating crane. The main export commodities handled at Trisakti are logs, rubber, coal and rattan, main imports are spare parts and chemicals. Traffic figures: Approx 41,680,000t of cargo, 240,500TEU and 11,250 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 200m, draught 6.0m, 6,000DWT. Taboneo Anchorage: Capesize bulk carriers, draught 19.0m.
