Location: The port of Falkenberg is located on the W coast of Sweden, 50nm S of Gothenburg in the Kattegat, at the mouth of the River Atran. General overview: The principal exports are sawn timber and granite. Imports are fuel oil, fertilisers, chemicals, iron and steel products. Traffic figures: Approx 350,000t of cargo and 270 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 160m, draught 6.5m.
