General Description
Location: The Port of Flekkefjord is located at the head of the Stolsfjord, on the southern coast of Norway, about 118km north of Kristiansand
General overview: The Port of Flekkefjord offers three sheltered harbours, namely Rasvaag, Kirkehavn on Hittero island, and Risholmen on an island at the fjord's entrance, all with depths exceeding 9.8m. The main industries in the area are shipping, engineering, fish and agriculture.
The outer port provides a safe anchorage and is open all year round. It has small lighthouses to mark the harbour entrance. The port offers lay-up berths for vessels of unlimited size and oil rigs, with stern mooring facilities.
