General Description
Location: Fredericia is situated on the SE coast of Jutland, Denmark. General overview: Fredericia is a large, well situated, well equipped port capable of handling a variety of cargo. There are specialised berths for dangerous cargo. The port has ice free conditions. The principal exports are grain, dairy products, crude oil, LPG, fertilisers and stone. Imports include steel, wood, timber, salt, feed stuff, phosphate, pyrites, nails, sodium sulphite and bitumen. Traffic figures: Approx 2,522 vessels, 16,900,000t of cargo and 21,600TEU handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 300m, draught 14.0m.
