Location: Lubmin is located in the very NE of Germany on the Baltic Sea, on the S coast of Greifswalder Bay. General overview: Since its opening in 2006, the industrial port of Lubmin has developed into an internationally recognized transshipment point. The port facility in north-eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, operated by the special-purpose association "ETF", impresses with its convenient location with direct access to the Baltic Sea and the German inland waterway network. The industrial port of Lubmin has a 740 m long south quay with five berths and a 115 m long east quay with one berth. With a water depth of 7 m, the port can be approached by ships with a draft of up to 6.10 m. A turning basin 175 m wide allows the handling of ships up to 120 m in length without any problems. Larger units are also conceivable. The quay is 3 m above sea level. In addition, there is a heavy-duty area of ​​100 x 30 m and approx. 12,000 m² of open space in the port area. There is a 120-hectare area directly on the port boundary that is available for industrial and commercial settlements. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max. size: draft: 6.1 m.
