Location: The Port of Kemaman (formerly known as Tanjong Berhala) is situated in the State of Terengganu. General overview: The Port of Kemaman is a deep, specialized industrial area. It handles petroleum, chemicals, and gas related operations, as well as bulk and general cargoes. The nearby port of Chukai exports iron ore cargo via lighters to vessels in the Kemaman anchorage, except during the NE monsoons. The following cargoes are handled at Kemaman' Terminals: - East Wharf (Dermaga Timur): Imports iron ore, sulphur, and copper slag, and exports steel billets, steel bloom, steel slab, and steel plate.
