Location: Barao de Tefe Antonina, also known as Antonina, is located in Paranagua Bay, 14nm up river from Paranagua, 77 km. from Curitiba. General overview: Consists of Barao de Teffe Terminal, Ponta do Felix Terminal and Matarazzo Quay. Port, road and rail connections. Due to its draught and navigation difficulties, this port has not been busy for some years. At present private companies use this port to discharge bulk cargoes. Berths: Matarazzo: Length: 200m; depth: 6.0 – 7.5m Commercial: LOA: 155m; Length:62m; depth: 5.97; remarks: Agricultural products, containers Ponta do Felix: LOA: 360m Barao de Teffe Terminal consistsof the multi-purpose commercial quay, two warehouses, 100 ton weighing machine, 1x6 ton rail-mounted crane, 1x55 h.p. shovel loader, 4x5 ton stacker trucks, 4x2.5 ton and 5x2 ton stacker trucks, 5x12,200 sq.m. warehouses without cold storage; 1x8,500 ton vertical silo at Matarazzo (not in operation); open air areas of 7,500 sq.m. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: LOA 188m. Note: There has been a preliminary agreement to allow vessels up to LOA 200m into the port. However, this is subject to an endorsement from the Port Authority, which is still outstanding. Agents should check with the Port Authority for confirmation of the present situation.
