Location: Varberg is situated on the SW coast of Sweden. General overview: A short entrance fairway of length 1nm outside the breakwaters, with easy access to the quays and depths of 4.5-11.0m. Facilities provided for general/bulk cargoes, containers/Ro-Ro cargoes and liquid cargoes. There is a regular ferry service with W Swedish ports, Copenhagen and Lubeck. Traffic figures: Approx 1,600,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 215m, draught 10.0m.
