Location: The Port of Gdansk is situated at the mouth of Wisla River, in the North of Poland, on the southern Baltic coast. General overview: The Port of Gdansk consists of two parts, the inner port and the outer port (Northern Port). The inner port provides general cargo handling and storage services, while the outer port features modern handling and storage facilities for containers and bulk cargoes of crude oil, heating oils and fuels, coal, and LPG. Specialised cargo handling equipment and port infrastructure are available for handling grain, fertilisers, lumber, ore, steel, and containers, as well as Ro-Ro vessel servicing. The port also has a Free Zone. The Northern Port area has considerable land reserves for current and future projects, and the port remains ice-free all year round. Load line zone: Winter: (Nov 1 to Mar 31) // For ships of 100m or less in Length. Summer: (Apr 1 to Oct 31) // For ships over 100m in Length. IMO Class 1 (Gorniczy Basin, Weglowe quay): IMO 1 cargo is accepted  for discharge in 20’ containers only. Direct discharge ship-railwaggons only. Regarding permissions / terms – each shipment to be considered and processed individually. Sufficient prenotice required – e.g. 14 days for permissions/terms.
