Location: Elsinore is situated on the NE coast of Sjaelland. General overview: Elsinore has a well sheltered harbour and all year navigation, with very frequent ferry traffic. The town and port are also known as Helsingor. It is reported that due to rebuilding of the port, it will be inaccessible for all vessels except ferries to and from Sweden from 2008 to late 2010. Traffic figures: Approx 60,000 vessels and 12,000,000 passengers handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: LOA 170m, draught 6.5m.
